Reuters:
The first delivery of Russia's S-300 missile defense system to Iran will take place in August or September this year, RIA news agency on Friday quoted Sergei Chemezov, the head of Russia's industrial conglomerate Rostec, as saying.

Will belive it when see it!
And the wild goose chase continues. Russia is negotiating with the U.S. over Syria, and Putin wants to have the threat of delivering the S-300's hanging over U.S.'s head. So, the "new new" date is August or September. I wouldn't be surprised if Russia lekas some news right around that time--coinciding, of course, with final negotiations over Syria--that the delivery is imminent, and will take place any day.
As I have said before, these missiles will NEVER be delivered. There's a simple reason for that. Russia has two competing sides. On the one side, there is Israel, the U.S., Saudi Arabia, Turkey and other Persian Gulf States. These are countries with money, power, allies and influence in the world, and can actually make life difficult for Rusiia and make it pay a price if it stands up to them. On the other side, there is the universally despised --and untrustworthy--Iran with no "juice" whatsoever in the world, which according to some reports was trying to transfer Russian made SA-22's to the Lebanese Hezbollah in violation of its agreement with Russia. Even the Russians don't trust the IR. They also don't want a trouble making, belligerent IR at their southern border armed with advanced weapons. So, why give it to them? And the money? No worries. Saudis and Israelis will pay them double the price just to not let the IR get its hands on those weapons.
You might be right :)
Actually, as soon as US stealth fighter F-35 is fully deployed in the region, the Russians will get the go-ahead to ship the S-300 missiles. That will be another piece of useless junk from Russia.
JJ, your naiveté is astronomically flabbergasting! That Russia has good intentions towards Iran! :-)
It will be delivered by the year 2130 at which time IRGC would reverse engineer it to figure it how it works!
And at that time they will call it a brand new homemade invention. :-)
