Haji ajab rooyi darin shuma haa.
If US is a police state, what does that make your beloved eSSlamic State? Brutal Theocracy to the max, that's what.
Faux News is a mouthpiece of the right wing nut case party much like your "Press TV"......
You could of course, in a civilized manner, just answer yes or no or... but that would absolutely not suit your character.
On this one Amirkabir is quite right.
Yes, I should have included that option.
yes, it is, but only for islamist child molesting, child porn watching wanabe terrorists. So watch it :)
MoftBokhor_ParchamBesuzan,
America is the beacon of hope for humanity.
If it wasn't for the US, the world today would be speaking German and eat schnitzel and sauerkraut for lunch!
Two out of the three stooges are back on the scene. The third one should be right around the corner.
oooh...you people are so civilized....it shows in how you treat your own people back in Iran. However, it appears that you get real mad when I call you AN-tellectual....mad yet?
He he he....oops...this may even cause you to delete my comment like you always do.
BTW...How's that subsidized apt in Copenhagen? Water hot enough for you haji?
And the third one walked in.
When even Noam Chomsky can say: "So, yes, the United States is a very free country, in fact it’s the freest country in the world. I don’t think freedom of speech, for example, is protected anywhere in the world as much as it is here."
And again: "In many respects, the United States is the freest country in the world. I don't just mean in terms of limits on state coercion, though that's true too, but also in terms of individual relations. The United States comes closer to classlessness in terms of interpersonal relations than virtually any society."
Agree with Amirkabear4u, " Not yet but getting there." My "yes" answer is in that spirit.
The key indicator is property rights, not free speech and such. It's still very hard for the state to take away property belonging to citizens--unless, we're talking about Native Americans.
As I mentioned before, yes the option proposed by Amirkabear4u is a legitimate one. What are your reasons for saying that property rights is an indicator?
I for one remember, back in the 70's, the campus guards were just that, campus guards with no firearms. Now they have become a militia in their own right, killing students, breaking up their protests by pepper spray, beating, etc.
The U.S. police are no longer there to serve and protect the public but have become a shield against public protests .
How many innocent students have been killed by "campus guards" in the US in the past 10 years. How many?
Not one protestor was killed in the so-called "Occupy" protests. Not one. Some "police state"! Ha!
When they begin killing, it is already too late.
In the case of the Islamist and Leftist An-Ghollabis, they were already burning over 400 innocent men, women, and children to death (Cinema Rex) even BEFORE they came to power. Tabrik.
???. Ran out of arguments again?
Meybokhor, the biggest imapct of the Patriot Act has been on the 4th amendment (search and siezure). This brief article from the Rutherford Institute makes the connection to property rights.
Huh??? Sure, whatever you say. The US is a "police state" where even its harshest critics (e.g. Noam Chomsky) can speak and write freely without any fear and even they admit how much freedom there is in this country. In this "police state", protest after protest can take place (including some of the protestors beng violent "anarchists") and not one person is killed by the police or Gestapo during those protests. How many people are imprisoned in the US merely for their political views? How many "prisoners of conscience" are present in the US? It sure does sound like a "police state", no??? You obviously know what you are talking about. You who live in Denmark know more about this "police state" than me and the other people who have been living, working, and studying in this country for 33 years (and counting).
Meybokhor, what's wrong with you islamo/NIAC type? why do you attack like a crazy dog, anyone, except for your own ilk , who comments on your blog? Were you not tought any manners in the tevileh where you were brought up???
Hamal, firstly, keep your nose out of something that does not concern you. Secondly I have not insulted anyone who has not insulted me first. Thirdly, tavileh is where animals like you were abandoned when society saw no use for them. You are living in a mental tavileh and are therefore not aware of the stench surrounding you.
Ohhh Myyyyy....
Ari, I do not disagree with you, but actions such as siezure of properties are the ultimate symptons of the disease. I am still of the opinion that the transformation of duties of police forces from that of protecting the citizens to that of containing them is a definite sign of a police state.
Yes, rising police power is a worrying early symptom. Also the increasing number of "affluenza" cases where the criminal is too rich to jail.
Sad. Truely sad. If he was a victim of his parents' wealth, shouldn't their money be confiscated then??
Hamal jaan, when our brethren do not have logic, evidence, reason or the facts on their side, they resort to their mad dog ways of attacking and insulting. They think this is the Islamic Republic where they can behave in that fashion. And the funny part is that they consider the US a "police state" (not knowing what a police state is actually like), but defend the IRI at the same time.
You are either blind or stupid or both. Go back to the start of the thread and see (or have it read) how your rabid friends "contribute" to the discussion.
Everybody knows here I never insult anyone who does not first insult me. If you think you can get a free ride just because you are vulgar, then koor khoondi.
Look who is calling whom "vulgar" and "rabid". Ajab rooyi. :-)
oh Myyy....
