Yes, yes, yes!!!!
Also, speaking of formats, JJ can you please fix the format so that when we leave an English comment on a Persian post, the comment doesn't come out all screwey? Thanks.
PS- look athe amount of space that the "featured survey" takes. It's equal to the whole news section!
The graph part of the survey is really an overkill as if it really matters to have a visual effect of the survey in graph form, which basically means the percentages shwoing after each question are much more relevant. By removing graphs 1/4 of the front page will be freed up where we can place some recent pictures of the Miss Universe candidates from different countries, and trust me that will increase the number of eyeballs.
I agree!
Agreed! The current format is mohaarebeh baa khaanandeh va karbar.
Maybe he paid too much money for the survey part, and he can't bring himself to scrap it... or he is a masochist, and subconsciously wants the site to fail. Any other reasons?
Mr. SAM - when you have two options for a place to eat at - a jeegary vice a jarghoor baghoor - which one would you choose? I know, this a topic for the poll section, but as the only metric to visit iroon.com vice iranian.com, it may be a good analogy! I would eat at the former becasue you know a seekh jeegar has jeegar on it. In a plate full of jaghhoor baghoor only God knows what is in the content!
Agreed! May be that’s why, NOT very many serious discussion(s) are taking place here, like IC.
Inspector dear: for a Frenchman, you sure know your Jighar from the Khoshgoosht ... lol.
I personally prefer some good Donbalaan with Aragh 55 and a bit of Maast-o-Khiyar.
Sorry, but it was kind of funny that the new owner of IC didn't share your sense of humor about Jigar, and reacted so violently. Got your email, but don't have any friendship with the new guy, and couldn't bail you out. Next time, call him a "Paa-Andaaz" - see if he can connect that to his "dating" sites!
In regard to Donbalaan, could not agree with you more and salivating! It is called the Rocky Mountain Oyster in this neck of the wood, Redneck wise!
P-J dear:
Try it charcoal barbequed with a bit of parsley-and-onion chop, on a fresh warm Lavash bread - and you'd think it's heaven on earth ... don't forget the chilled vodka!
SAM - before I became a vegan at the age of 12, I was served "donbalan" at my uncle's house (I think I was about 10). I was wondering the whole night what that disgusting smell was coming off the grill. And I eventually found out, when it was served for dinner. Make a long story short, after I ate it, I was told what it was that we actually ate. I immediately went to the bathroom and threw up. I was vomiting the whole night, and into the next day (not much left by that time, just dry heaves). Anyway, that's my story of "donbalan." I actually think it was one of the contributing factors to my becoming a vegan. The slaughter of the little goat that I had been playing with in the morning--and serving it for lunch--when I was 12 was the final straw.
Dear Shazde,
And add to that the presence of a beautiful woman and you would be talking heaven! I am already drooling!
It never seizes to amaze me, how discussions on blogs can go from Mr. Godarzi to Mrs. Shaghayeghi ... lol.
AO dear: you are right about the cruelty on animals, and although not a vegaterian - I can understand your point. I can also understand how caring for animals and avoiding pain to them can make us better people, and can lower our level of aggression. I am sorry to hear of your upsetting story, and sorry if these discussions can conjur up those unpleasant memories.
Dear P_J: I'd rather not to mix Donbalan with women, as it may cause excess hair growth on them (due to the male hormones). Let's try some nice Mushroom and Spinach Ravioli with chive butter sauce, and for the wine let's go with Pinot Gris.
Thanks SAM. I'm not a militant vegan. Others in my family eat meat. I just avoid it. All the reasons you asaid are correct. It's also a much healtheir lifestyle.
