بابک در قلعه بزی

به یاد بابک غدیری*

"آیا سواد مردی را می‌بینی
که سوار بر بستنه‌ی الوار
بر آب پارو می‌کشد؟"

بز کوهی بر زانو نشسته
با چشمهای نگران
به سوی زاینده رود.

"آیا هنوز در آتشچالت هیمه‌ای هست
تا بابک را به آتشی آگاه کرد؟
پاسداران خلیفه بر پل نشسته‌اند.*"

بز کوهی خاموش است.
در کوه قلعه بزی *
تنها باد سخن می‌گوید.

بیست‌و‌نهم ژانویه هزار‌و‌نهصد‌و‌هشتاد‌و‌شش

*- بابک غدیری در غروب چهارشنبه هجدهم مهر هزار‌و‌سیصد‌و‌شصت‌و‌سه در خانه‌اش در تهران در برابر چشمان همسر و پسر پنج‌ساله‌اش بدست پاسداران کشته شد.
*- اشاره‌ای به خیزش بابک خرمدین علیه خلیفه عباسی.
*- قلعه‌ای از دوره‌ی ساسانی نزدیک مبارکه, اصفهان.

Babak in Goat Castle

“Do you see the silhouette of a man
Rowing down the river
On a packet of timber?”

The mountain goat is sitting on its knees
With worried eyes
Toward Zayandeh River.

“Is there any log left in your fire pit
To warn Babak by fire?
The guards of the Caliph are on the bridge.”*

The mountain goat is silent.
In the Mountain of Goat Castle*
Only the wind speaks.

*- Babak Ghadiri was killed by the Islamic Guards on the evening of Wednesday October 10, 1984 in his house in Tehran in front of his wife and his five-year-old son.
*- An allusion to the uprising of the Iranian hero Babak Khorramdin against Abbasid Caliphate in the 9th century.
*- A castle from the preIslamic dynesty Sasanid near Mobarakeh, Isfahan, Iran.
