After 60 years and two weeks, at this hour the Persian service of Radio Israel is broadcasting its final program.

Under the new restructuring scheme, all of Israel’s government funded broadcastings, including its Persian service, will signoff today.

I like to take this opportunity to extend my deepest appreciation to all those dedicated Iran/Israel loving journalists and presenters, who by their journalistic professionalism have set the bar so high it is unlikely it will ever be surpassed.

Special thank you is in order to Lady Farnoosh Ram, Mr. Menasheh Amir and all their colleagues at the Persian service of Radio Israel for many, many years of service to Iranians.

Lets hope under the new system, these fine Iran/Israel loving professionals are utilized in continuation of service to Iranians inside Iran who are hungry for accurate news.
