This piece is for the women in Iran who risk their lives every day.

We honor those who fight and have fought for 'Woman, Life, Freedom' following the death of Mahsa Amini at the hands of the Iranian Police for Religious Morality.

22-year-old Iranian Mahsa Amini died in the custody of the Iranian morality police in Tehran in September 2022 after she was arrested and accused of violating strict dress code laws requiring that women wear headscarves. Her death sparked massive protests across Iran as well as solidarity demonstrations around the world.

“The number of women with free-flowing hair in public grows every day. Every one of them stands for her own worth, often hand in hand with women who cover their hair but who still fight in solidarity”.

The fact that women are at the forefront of this revolution and receive strong support from men, and that men also take to the streets for women's rights and pay with their lives, make this a
historically unique movement.

A Cry for Freedom That Won’t Be Silenced.
