        بیست‌و‌یک شعر برای پدرم

دوازده. 

مرغ جان پدر

    مجید نفیسی

مرغکی فرستاده خواهرم مرا
بال‌و‌پر همه سفید, کوفی‌نگار.
حالیا نشسته پیش عکسی از پدر
بی‌خبر ز مرگ او و سوگ من.

دست می‌برم تا بگیرمش ز روی رف
می‌پرد ز دست من, پرنده‌وار
گویدم: "مکن مرا جدا ز دلبرم.
مرغ جان او شدم چو رفت از میان ما."

در شگفت از جادوی هنر
آفرین برآورم ز دل به خواهرم
که آفریده با دستهای کوچکش
مرغ جان مهربان پدر.

Twelve.

The Soul Bird of Father

My sister has sent me a little bird.
Its feathers are white and embellished in arabesque.
Presently it sits in front of my father’s photo
Unaware of his death and my grief.

I extend my hand to pick it up from the ledge.
It flies away from my reach as  birds  do
And says: “Do not separate me from my beloved.
I became his soul bird when he left from amongst us.”

Startled by the magic of art
I praise my sister with all my heart
Who has created with her small hands 
The bird of the soul of our gentle father.
