This money pays for the operation of this site and the other one plus NIAC, TP, Hooman Majd, Reza Aslan, expensive pin-stripe suits Javad Khayam Too Labat Jeegool, and the rest of malijacks around here....! Here is a question directed at FerFeri et al - how do you make the ends meet? Tell us the truth, it shall set you free!!!!
It’s a rather old video which has been in circulation in the region for quite a while... the one sent to me had no Farsi “voice-over”, and claimed to show the depth of corruption in Pakistan... now that I’ve seen this one, I can dismiss it as a part of a much larger psychological warfare. Thanks for posting it, nonetheless.
Antsy
And your source for claiming this is fake is where exactly? Fars News? Hmmm. Not a very reliable source to begin with. Especially since it is common knowledge that Lavasan is the playground of the elite of the regime who need a few days esteraahat from plundering the country.
Seriously though, did u think the regime would do anything BUT takzeeb the existence of such a place? Of course they’ll deny it and call it fake.
FtG, the resident Tvarich is correct this time, see here
Given all the other documented looting of Beit-ol-mal (one example being the infamous truck with 17 billion dollars worth of currency and gold seized by the Turks) it seemed very plausible.
so what is the issue may be he didn't have time to launder the money. Jared Kushner was not available to give him hand, may be next time!

OK baba. Aslan ghabool. Lets say the video is questionable.
I'd like to ask Antsy (and everyone else): with this video being fake, do you still see the existence of such a room or cache of cash in Iran by the regime's elite as being plausible?
Yes or No? Go.
For the sake of argument, let’s say the money belongs to somebody from within the ruling theocracy. So what?
Iran’s problems are much bigger than a few hundreds of millions of dollars, women’s “hezhaab,” or women watching soccer games. I don’t care about your time. Don’t waste my time.
If your time is being wasted, then dont fucking read it. Go somewhere else. Khosh Oomadi.
I DO think Hijab is a core fundamental problem in Iran. Once the regime loses its ability to enforce Hijab (a.k.a. "moghadassaat"), it loses the ability to control everything else as well. As Hijab goes, so will the regime's claim to infallibility (aka hokoomat e emam zaman and other kos-sher).
And yes, money laundering and large scale dozdee is at the heart of the problem too. This is a system which prides itself on being a model (socially and economically) for "mazloom" and "setam-dideh" 3rd world (non aligned) countries.
Has your position changed, again? Didn’t you recently claim the regime would be there for the next 400 years? What has changed since a few weeks ago?
As you may not have noticed, I have avoided commenting on your posts until today. And I can simply continue avoiding them. The thing about wasting time was meant as a banter to the commments.
You could be politer, but I guess old habits die hard.
I have very low tolerance for talabkar people. I dont mean to be impolite, but if I wasted your time, then go elsewhere. Am I holding you or something? ...vallah bekhoda.
Kodoom "position"? These are just my opinions. And they can change. I can be convinced. I used to be a 'Republican' (by the Iranian meaning), but now I'm pro Shah. But even that's not set in stone. Yes, the regime will be around for 400 years or more. Especially with the current trajectory of things. (like ppl growing up and their inability to let go of Islamic values). That being said, I'd love to be proven wrong and see a day when the IRI falls. Especially if the downfall is initiated internally by people themselves.
"Ayatollahs run a 95 Billion dollar hedge fund". Where did this money come from? Javab: Dozdeedan e pool e mardom. Not as unsophisticated as hiding it in a room in Lavasan. But still. Unless we consider Pompeo fake too.
Yo don’t seem to be able to tolerate anything.
Your “opinions” out of a vacuum? Your “opinions” must certainly be based on some logical thinking. Or do you only produce your “opinions” at the spur of the moment to simply have an argument and should not be taken seriously?
Look, if you have something to contribute, biya vasat. Otherwise ad hominems are pretty cheap to score.
Already said plausible and why. Having said that a likely explanation could be that the video is part of a negative tactical campaign by the regime planted by the regime’s cyber warfare people. You distribute a fake anti-regime video that will be easily shown to be a hoax thereby discrediting your opponents.
I expressed my view, but you didn’t like it.
You expect Iranians to pour in the streets and change the regime? Go to Iran and lead them. Otherwise talk is cheap.
Fozolie
Man, I don’t think one or two hoax videos can discredit 40 years of pillage and rape whose mountains of evidence stink to heaven high. The billion dollar dozdee legacy of iran’s ruling elite is common knowledge. It’s not up for debate. What is up for debate is what to do about it. The reason I posted the video is that I was shocked to see so much cash. Never seen so much of it so localized in one place, even if the video was a hoax.
GR,
U got it wrong. I didn’t agree with your views on hijab or money laundering, but I didn’t judge you. Your views are respected. The part I “didn’t like” was where you claim my writings are a waste of YOUR time. As I said, kesee majbooret ke nakardeh.
As for me going back to Iran and “leading”, thank you, I’ve already done my part. On multiple fronts. Been there, done that, and went to prison, including tasting the infamous shallagh. In prison. From the verdict of an akhond in a revolutionary court. Besides, who are you to ta’een takleef for others anyway?!
Yes, the vast majority of Iranians don’t have leeyaghat for freedom and justice. They choose to be treated like shit, and they deserve it. I don’t expect you to understand these things. Most people live a pastoreezeh life and have no concept of the deeper currents at work. Yes, Iran is sick. And the people themselves are largely to blame for it.
FtG, agreed. I should have made it clear that is probably what they hope it would achieve.
FTG,
I explained to you that the part about wasting my time was just a joke. Had I deeply felt that way, I would not have written a comment.
I’m not telling you what to do. I’m telling you to stop telling people what they should do when you’re not in their shoes. Insulting Iranians back in Iran is the easiest thing in the world, Any movement needs leaders. Where /Who are the leaders in Iran? And any movement without leaders is doomed to fail.
Only if I may... there’s nothing, absolutely nothing wrong with monarchism which is historically proven to be ultimately compatible with the notion of democracy... it is Pahlavism which stinks... yuck..
In order to find the relevance of this snippet, you must first read a bunch of back-and-forth comments by our seemingly highly caffeinated friends.. not my fault..
Yes GR, leadership is required, but people have to have a certain level of maturity as well. Look what happened in 79. They flocked around Khomeini. That was sheer stupidity. They were too stupid to see thru his bullshit. And now they’re paying the price. And they still don’t know why.
Antsy, you’re into Qajars then? Or r u one of those ppl who tries to explain the equivalency of a “just monarchy” with velayat faghih?
AR, go away. You can’t even converse in Farsi, can you?
Hmm. Just as I thought. Bache-i.
