The Skeletons

As I was going downstairs
I heard their voices
Talking to each other.
I climbed back and said:
“Who are you and why in my absence
Have you come here?
Your faces cannot be seen.”

Suddenly, they surrounded me.
One who was closer to me
And resembled Grandma
Laughed and said:
“Do you recognize our faces now?”
Young and old,
Women and men
They were all skeletons
Dressed in fog.

I stepped forward and shouted:
“I am not afraid of you.
Curse you all!
Go back to your own world.”
All of a sudden, they were cut off from the branch
And scattered on the ground.

اسکلت‌ها

مجید نفیسی

پائین که می‌رفتم
صدایشان را شنیدم
که با یکدیگر حرف می‌زدند.
از پله‌ها بالا رفتم و گفتم:
"کیستید و چرا در غیاب من
به این جا آمده‌اید؟
چهره‌تان دیده نمی‌شود."

ناگهان دوره‌ام کردند.
یکی که نزدیکتر بود
و به مادر بزرگ می‌مانست
خندید و گفت:
"حالا چهره‌هامان را تشخیص میدهی؟"
کوچک و بزرگ
زن و مرد
همه اسکلت‌هایی بودند
در جامه‌ای از مه.

قدم پیش گذاشتم و فریاد کشیدم:
"از شما نمی‌ترسم
نفرین بر شما!
به دنیای خود بازگردید."
یکباره از شاخه بریده شدند
و بر زمین فروریختند.
