Brandeis:

Naghmeh Sohrabi, the Charles (Corky) Goodman Professor of Middle East History and associate director for research at the Crown Center for Middle East Studies, was awarded the competitive Mellon New Directions Fellowship from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. The fellowship is awarded to exceptional mid-career faculty in the humanities and social sciences for training in subjects outside their specialization. This year, the Mellon New Directions was given to only 10 faculty nationally.
