Housesitter

I didn’t water the flowers.
I didn’t feed the canaries.
I ate so much chocolate
That I became sick.
I lay down on the couch
And saw the master of the house
Looking down at me
From a picture frame.
I got up, put on my jacket
And went to the dog.
I put him in his collar,
Grabbed his leash
And we both ran out of the house.

خانه‌پا

به گلها آب ندادم.
به قناریها دانه ندادم.
هی شکلات خوردم
تا دلم را زد.
روی مبل دراز کشیدم
دیدم آقای خانه
دارد از توی قاب عکس
به من نگاه میکند.
پا شدم، کتم را پوشیدم
و رفتم پیش سگ.
قلاده‌اش را بستم
سر آن را گرفتم
و هر دو از خانه بیرون زدیم.
