Iran has claimed the country witnessed a nationwide cyberattack, on December 18, that affected petrol stations across the nation. Iranian Oil Minister Javad Owji claimed that over 70% of Iran's petrol pumps were disrupted due to the cyberattack. Iran said only 1,650 petrol stations were functional and the oil ministry is currently monitoring 3,800 petrol stations. Javad Owji has accused the hacking group ‘Gonjeshke Darande’ or ‘Predatory Sparrow’ of having links with Israel.
