I took this video on my last trip to Iran August 2014. Using my iPad I thought it would be fun to share the walk up the trail. With all the vibrant activity and sounds from the entrance to Darband to the top of the trail. I really hope those who haven't visited Iran in a long time may watch this and feel they are there - if that is possible.

Darband, is one of the most popular local and tourist attractions in Tehran, Iran, located at the foothills of the Alborz Mountains.

Darband used to be a village separate from Tehran. Today its a unique suburb with a partially walkable and paved mountain hiking trail, running along a waterway that originates in the mountains. It's full of restaurants, cafes, street vendors and fun. Beautiful and fascinating location where the old and new culture of Iran co-exist.
