In a recent demonstration in Australia against concerts by Iranian pop icons Googoosh and Sassy Mankon one can question the real motives of the demonstrators.
Below is the video of the distruptions :
My first reaction was that this may have been carried out by agents of the Islamic Republic trying to create division amongst Diaspora Iranians. If not then we need to question in whose interests such distruptions serve ?
I think as never before Iranians of the Diaspora need to be alert and identify these trouble makers.
That is why I was saddened by another famed artist Golshifteh Farahani's reaction attacking monarchists for the simple right to expression:
This is not the first time that some Iranians have planted seeds of division in our community. Already during the so-called "Green Revolution" some pro Green activists attacked some elderly monarchists who was carrying the Sun and Lion Flag in the streets of Los Angeles.
Such behavior where ever they come from must be denounced.
Our Unity as a global community needs to be preserved for that is the best way of supporting Iranians back home in their struggle for freedom.
Let's not lose this precious yet fragile unity amongst us.
My humble opinion.

Couldn't agree more that unity is the strongest link and what the brave Iranians inside Iran needs.
But this also beg the question
Is this unity should be limitless? Should this unity include groups such as MEK with their well known history?
Needless and sad to say, there seems to be no clear leader in this movement with no clear agenda, other than perhaps limited freedom for women. I say limited as it seems it is mostly related to their hejab and little about the recognition of counting them as a full citizen.
P.S. The same condemnation ought to go to the monoricist in LA that just a couple of weeks ago attacked a group of NIACers who, at least in the last month or so, consistently have stood by the Iranian people's demand for freedom and have condemned IRI brutal treatment of Iranian protesters .
I don't condone violence but the NIAC has been attacking monarchists as early as when Trita Parsi published his book Treacherous alliance labling them as "warmongers" simply for supporting Reza Pahlavi. They also supported the regime despite their terrible record in Human Rights which makes the Shah look like an angel.
As for my views on "violence" is that of Shaheen Najafi:
Well do you have a link showing a physical attack on NIAC members ?
As for regime change ... well everybody today seems to agree with what Saeed Sekui has been
