خوردنی‌های قروچه‌ای

من خوردنی‌های آهنگین را دوست دارم
که زیر دندان
صدا می‌کنند:
ته‌دیگ با آب خورشت
ته‌چین با زعفران
برنجک با شاهدانه
نان‌خشکه با ماست خیکی
کشک با تَرف*
چسفیل, پفک و ذرت بو‌داده.

مادر‌بزرگم ته‌دیگ دوست داشت
و حتی وقتی پیر شده بود
آن را با آب خورشت نرم می‌کرد
و قوروچ قوروچ می‌جوید.

با این همه از قروچه در سینما بیزارم
و اگر پهلودستیم چسفیل بخورد
صندلیم را زود عوض می‌کنم.

Crunchy Edibles

I love rhythmic edibles
Which make sounds
Under my teeth:
Crispy crusts of rice with stew,
Rice casserole with saffron,
Popped rice with hemp seeds,
Crispy dry bread with thick goatskin-yogurt,
Dry whey with black curds,
Popcorn, cheese puffs and corn nuts.

My Grandma loved crispy crusts of rice
And even when she grew old
Softened it with the juice of stew
And chewed it with crunch.

But I hate the crunching in cinema
And if the one sitting next to me eats popcorn
I change my seat right away.
