Exhibition

14th–27th June 2013
Lightgallery, 5A Porchester Place, London W2 2BS

Nima Sagharchi Projects and the Iran Heritage Foundation Future Patrons present "Utopia", an exhibition of works by Iranian contemporary artist, Ghazaleh Avarzamani. "Utopia" showcases Ghazaleh’s Rococo themed needlepoint embroideries which are mixed with contemporary Iranian imagery. These are inspired by the kitsch interpretations of Goblin tapestries. The tapestries are embroidered by hand, tying in with Ghazaleh’s belief that the revival of skilled craft is central to the artistic process. Also on display will be Ghazaleh’s installation "Eastern Delight" which presents her edition of baroque–style porcelain figurines mounted on fragments of Persian carpet. The exhibition runs until the 27th of June, and we look forward to your attendance. There is a contribution on all sales towards the Iran Heritage Foundations projects.
