Washington Post:
The plan was to harmlessly promote “Damascus Time,” a new film about an Iranian father and son who travel to Syria to deliver humanitarian supplies and then get kidnapped by the Islamic State. Actors dressed as Islamic State fighters would show up at a large shopping mall and cinema in Tehran on Monday night and jovially pose for photos with passersby.
Then the actors decided to take the publicity stunt to the next level. Wielding fake guns and swords, they stormed the mall, shouted “Allahu akbar” and pretended to wage an attack. One even rode through the building on a horse.
Unsurprisingly, it didn’t go over well.

AO jaan, one possible interpretation of this is that the Stinky Mollah Regime is trying to scare people that they are the only ones protecting them from ISIS. The IRI's line has gone from "The regime is as solid and stable as a rock" to "If we fall, ISIS will take over Iran". The IRI has a few "official enemies": MEK, Sunnis/Saudi Arabia, Israel/Jooz/Zionists, and the USA. You can see their "little helpers" of the non-overt, passive/aggressive variety on this website targeting the same "official enemies", especially with their sineh-zani for dear, beloved Holy Palestine (e.g. look ===>).
Would it end well any where? say they do that is U.S how long will it be before trigger happy cops blow them away.
Dear Amir - you're probably right. I tell you though man...our homeland is f**cked either way. As I have always said, the IR will turn Iran into a pile of rubble before they leave. For 40 years they have been harassing Israel, U.S., Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Yemen, and now it turns out even Morocco, for the past 40 years. And now Iranians complain that Israel and Saudi pushed for the U.S. to pull out. Well, of course they did. But payback is a bi**h. That's how the world works. You f**k with people, and people will f**k right back with you.
Dear AO, I don't like Trump or his ilk. But, the problems of Iran for the past 39 years, including those right now, have overwhelmingly been a consequence of the IRI's policies. By bringing Khomeini to power, the Iranian people have brought much of this down on their own heads. However, it's always easier to blame Israel, AIPAC, Saudis, neocons, "warmongers", Trump, this, that, and the other....
Absolutely! Because 95% of Iranians are too chickens**t to take on the IR. No other nation on this planet would have put up with what the IR has put Iranians through for the past 40 years. But Iranians...sure. Also, as I have also always said, the national political discourse inside and outside of Iran are still controlled by 1960's and 70's revolutionaries with an axe to grind against the U.S. Inside Iran, it's the old street level arbadeh-kesh rioters who are now "generals" with the IRGC and Basij, and outside of Iran is the Communist revolutionaries who all escaped Iran after their glorious devolution and became college professors in the West---and are now TV political pundits. Neither one of those two categories will settle for anything less than the pipe dream of total destruction of the U.S. Hence, the flag burning continues....What a shame. We could have been a great cuontry....
AO, I agree 100%.
