Candle

The power is gone
And I light the candle
Handcrafted by Azad.
The Candle weeps
And laughs
And we make love in its glow.

Your kisses are still sweet
And the scent of your body is so familiar.
In the flickering light of the candle
I slowly pass through
The firm borders of your face.
I lay my head on your chest
And close my eyes.

Tonight, ghosts have attacked me.
I embrace you
And your fingers search my body.
We cross all borders.
You land in Tehran Airport
And I return to the slopes of Ararat Mountain
Where we were crossing the Turkish border,
The moonlight was mixed with snow
And our horses walked slowly side by side.

Will we get back to each other again?
I opened my eyes
And suddenly find myself in darkness.
I get up to light another candle.
In its light
Ghosts can be seen better.

ٍشمع

برق رفته است
و من شمعی را می‌افروزم
که کارِ دستِ "آزاد" است.
شمع می‌گرید
و می‌خندد
و ما در پرتو آن عشق می‌بازیم.

بوسه‌های تو هنوز شیرین‌اند
و بوی تنت چه آشناست.
در روشنایی لرزان شمع
مرزهای قاطع چهره‌ی ترا
به آرامی درمی‌نوردم
سر بر سینه‌ات می‌گذارم
و چشمهایم را می‌بندم.

امشب, اشباح به من هجوم آورده‌اند.
تو را در آغوش می‌گیرم
و انگشتان تو تنم را می‌کاوند.
ما از همه‌ی مرزها می‌گذریم
تو در فرودگاه مهرآباد به زمین می‌نشینی
و من به دامنه‌ی آرارات بازمی‌گردم
جایی که از نوار مرزی می‌گذشتیم
نور ماه با برف درآمیخته بود
و اسبهای ما در کنار هم به آرامی میرفتند.

آیا دوباره به یکدیگر بازمی‌گردیم؟
پلکهایم را از هم می‌گشایم
و ناگهان خود را در تاریکی می‌یابم.
برمی‌خیزم تا شمع دیگری برافروزم.
در روشنایی آن
اشباح را بهتر میتوان دید.
