This Nowruz I’m alone.*
Azad has gone to London
To perform his concert
And will go to Asham Restaurant
With his Turkish friend Zubin.

Wendy in San Francisco
Has returned from her yoga retreat
And will go to Shalizar Restaurant
With her Uzbek friend Alomat.

I have remained alone
In Santa Monica
With the scent of fish and green rice
And the image of my mother
Who has not yet come to the table
To fill up our plates.

نوروز تنها

مجید نفیسی

امسال نوروز تنهایم.
آزاد به لندن رفته
برای اجرای کنسرت
و با دوست ترک‌اش زوبین
به رستوران آشام می‌رود.

وندی در سانفرانسیسکو
از خلوت یوگا برگشته
و با دوست ازبک‌اش الومات
به رستوران شالیزار می‌رود.

من در سانتا مونیکا
تنها مانده‌ام
با بوی ماهی و سبزی پلو
و خیال مادرم
که هنوز سر سفره نیامده
تا بشقابهامان را پر کند.
