Not sure about the islamic part of it, because the stench of it and dealing with it day in day out have turned off many people, but rise in anti sematisim for sure. Thirty plus years of day in day out yelling and screaming jews this and jews that has had some impact even among the most educated folks out there.

It is not that they are or are not, it is the "what's in it for me" factor that drives many things in societies like Iran. In other words, "Is it to my benefit to be more anti-semetic? Yes?.... Then I'm in."
The "hala bekhiyal" factor also plays a role.
