At first I thought to myself "wow, the monkeys at the IR actually came up with a design and made a piece of original equipment." But upon doing a bit of research it looks like I was wrong, and the IR and its cadre of Basiji university admissions are just as low IQ as I though. The design is almost an exact copy of the Canadian Streit Typhoon APC (note that they couldn't even find an original name and had to use Toofan that is so close to Typhoon). Looks like the Canadian version is made in the UAE. The IR probably stole the plans from the UAE manufacturing facility. Here's a video:

What's the big deal every one copies things from one another. Corporate espinoge is huge and every country that can do it does it,  because at the end of the day no one wants  to reinvent the wheel. 

Fair point MRX. But at the same time it's quite astonishing that despite their desparate need for military hardware, there has been zero original ideas coming out of Iran in the past 40 years. That actually goes for everything else--aside from poetry of course.
