Mourning Land

In Kahrizak Center
We look for our lost ones.
They are put in bloody bags.
We look at their faces one by one.
A father calls for his son
And, like a sheep looking for her lamb,
Cries out hopelessly.
A mother has found her daughter
And shouts incessantly.

Corpses are picked up from the streets
And carried by hearses.
The Crown Prince called people to come to the streets
And said that help is on the way.
The Turban Leader killed them with bullets
And said they were lackeys of foreigners.

Ah, mourning land!
When will we be released
From the old and new oppressors?

سرزمین سوگوار

در مرکز کهریزک
به دنبال گمشدگان خود می‌گردیم.
آنها را در کیسه‌های خونین گذاشتته‌اند.
به تک تک چهره‌هاشان نگاه میکنیم.
پدری پسر خود را می‌خواند
و چونان میشی که بره‌اش را میجوید
نومیدانه می‌خروشد.
مادری دختر خود را یافته
و پیاپی فریاد می‌کشد.

جنازه‌ها را از خیابانها برگرفته‌اند
و با نعش‌کش‌ها به اینجا آورده‌اند.
ولیعهد مردم را به خیابانها خواند
و گفت که کمک در راه است.
ولی امر آنها را به گلوله بست
و گفت که مزدور بیگانه‌اند.

آه ای سرزمین سوگوار!
کی از ستمگران نو و کهنه
رها خواهیم شد؟
