In 1953 the US broke Iran. In 1979 the US broke Iran again.
The US must now fix what it has broken. "Remove" Khamenei. He has unwittingly created a system that collapses when he is gone. Out of very real fear that he could be challenged by any of them, Khamenei has carefully put in place leadership that is loyal and does what it is told. There's no independent thinkers. The IRGC are merely led by angry looking pussycats. Who are greedy morons.
When Khamenei goes, none of his lower leadership will know what to do. And to save their skins, they will likely flee. And be caught later.
Take Khamenei out of the equation and Iran falls in 3 days. Guaranteed. No taarof. No shookhi.
Reinstall Reza Pahlavi, who for better or worse is still the legitimate king of Iran. Help him stabilize control and establish order, and task him to immediately put a free democracy in place, so he can then be transitioned to a ceremonial monarchy that has no political power, and primarily preserves Persian History and whatever is left of our Culture.
Which he looks like he will be really good at. He'd be great at charming and hosting visiting leaders and dignitaries. He can feed them and show them Iran's incredible nature. He can take them skiing.
When we restore it, he can be a good looking champion of Iran's incredible wine.
If nothing else, if you don't like Reza Pahlavi, you must agree that especially now and during a post Islamic Extremism transition, Reza Pahlavi does one thing well, and one thing only. He unifies the country around 2,500 years of mythical monarchy, and he restores Iran's traditions, and returns the country back to it's normal SECULAR social order.
Iran has NEVER been a Moslem or religious country. It has ALWAYS respected individual religious belief, but never had a state sanctioned religion. Ever.
The Islamic Republic is an oppressive tyrannical dictatorship forced onto Iranians, that has taken them hostage for the past 40 years. Since they're hostages, they cannot free themselves. As a result, many Iranian people have Stockholm Syndrome and now confusingly sympathize with their hostage takers. They are too damaged to thonk straight. Or act in their own self interests.
The US can easily free the "Iranian hostages" now, by taking out the ironically very same evil intended hostage takers who took Americans hostage in 1979.
They should do this. Quickly. Now please.
Every breath Khamenei takes, an Iranian angel's wings get torn off and tossed into Khamenei's bowl filled with all the other blood soaked wings.
They say Khamenei doesn't eat much meat. But he apparently loves wings.
President Dwight David "Ike" Eisenhower helped the late Shah in order to stay in power against the threat of the Communists and Islamists hiding behind Dr. Mosadeq in 1953. Had America not come to the help of the Shah at that time, Iran would have fallen into the orbit of the USSR! Of course, America benefited from that investment and so did Iranains, hence, Iranians should be grateful for that and thank Ike. Fast forward to 1979, the same destructive and subversive forces in Iran (i.e., Communists and Islamists) gathered behind Khomeini this time and took advantage of a weak US President, Jimmy Carter, and achieved their diabolical goal - to spread their maniacal and suicidal idiology across the world and more importantly destroy Iran beyond recognition! The rest is 46 years of war, death, destruction, and misery! Every Iranian within and without Iran should unite behind Israel and shoutout - BiBi Motchakerim!
PS - If the regime survives this conflict, it will take revenge against and inflict such pain upon Iranians with the brutality unmatched in human history that makes the past 46 years walking in a rose garden!
Either way. The US needs to fix it.
