from Lillian Boraks Nemetz:
Dear Majid
Your poem touches everyone of us in quarantine by Covid 19. It shows the
Longing for freedom also the awakening of the sense so often dulled in modern life.
Here is a poem I wrote while on a walk around where I live. Just written on
May 22.
It won’t be included in my new collection of poems coming out soon
Titled. Out of the Dark
Loving wishes
Lillian

from Lillian Boraks-Nemetz:
MY STREET
Empty and silent it waits
where have all the people gone?
trees adorn my street
with their generous spread of green
pink and white blossoms modestly bow
like brides waiting for a new life to begin
Like the people hidden in the windows
Wistfully waiting for their lives’
locked doors to open
spring air feels fresh and crisp
I stand in the doorway of my building
and start to walk the empty silent street
I breathe deeply
as I walk towards hope

I love this! I feel the same way.
These times are confusing, yet beautiful reminders of life's simple pleasures.
