Immediately after Renee’s killing, President Trump and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem rushed to blame her, claiming that she was a "domestic terrorist" and that the ICE agent acted in self defense. No jury. No trial. Not even a complete investigation. Just a press conference, a flurry of social media posts, and a series of lies from those in power.

Video footage of the killing tells a very different story. And after massive public outcry, Minnesota’s Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) was suddenly cut out, despite originally launching a joint investigation with the FBI.

This is a cover-up plain and simple. And it’s part of a clear pattern. Again and again, ICE and federal agents act with violence, shielded from accountability, while Trump and his loyalists declare “case closed” before any facts are known. 14 people have been shot by ICE in the past year. 4 are dead.

Renee’s three children deserve answers. The community deserves the truth – not just lies and misinformation from Trump and his cronies. Trump and Noem are hoping the public gives up and moves on.
