In addition to holding a doctorate in Near Eastern languages and cultures from UCLA, Naficy is a dedicated human rights and disability advocate focused on issues in both Iran and the United States. A reception with light food and drink will follow.

This event is a collaboration between the Santa Monica Public Library and the City of Santa Monica’s Cultural Affairs Division.
