1953 : The Year of Capital Punishment for "Treason" ... and not just in Iran ...

 

 

 

 

The Very Same Year of the so called "Coup" in Iran ... Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were executed in the US for Treason on the Electric Chair. Hossein Fatemi was executed the following year in Iran for similar charges of conspiracy against the state and for his slanderous article calling the head of state (i.e: The Shah) a traitor and thief .

Their charges were related to the passing of information about the atomic bomb to the Soviet Union.

Photo Center: Hossein Fatemi (10 February 1917 - 10 November 1954) was a scholar, journalist, and famous politician of Iran.[1] A close associate of Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh, he proposed nationalization of Iranian oil and gas assets. Initially a journalist, he served as Foreign Affairs Minister of Iran from 1951 to 1953. After the deemed coup d'état Fatemi was arrested, convicted by a military court of "treason against the Shah", and executed by a firing squad.
