Lonely Whale

Today at the seashore
I saw a man
Mooing like a lonely whale.

He wanted to join open seas
And the borderless sky
To become freed from the narrow land.

Only the seagulls answered him:
“Take off your shoes,
Remove your clothes
And plunge into the water.”

Curse the hand that separated you
From the water
And brought you to this narrow land
To decay in lowly rooms
And moo madly
Yearning for reunion.

نهنگ تنها

امروز کنار دریا
مردی را دیدم
که چون نهنگی تنها
ماغ می‌کشید.

می‌خواست به آبهای باز بپیوندد
به آسمان بی‌مرز
تا از زمین تنگ رها شود.

تنها مرغان دریایی
به او پاسخ دادند:
"کفشهایت را بکن
رختهایت را درآور
و خود را به آب بیفکن."

نفرین به آن دستی
که ترا از آب جدا کرد
و به این خاک تنگ آورد
تا در اتاقهای حقیر بپوسی
و در آرزوی وصل
دیوانه‌وار ماغ کشی.
