Bahareh Navabi (b.1985, Tehran, Iran) has received her BFA in arts and MFA from Ecole Nationale superieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris, France. Her works mix hyper realistic portrait drawing with an abstract form, which she may have inherited from her many years of studying with the late Farideh Lashei, a great Iranian master and consists of several layers of tracing paper. Her first solo exhibition was in Tehran in 1996 and she has had several solo exhibitions in Iran and in France with two at Dastan's Basement.
