President Donald Trump says the US will hold direct talks with Iran about its nuclear program over the weekend while warning the Iranians that they would be in “great danger” if the talks do not succeed in persuading them to abandon their nuclear weapons program. The president said Tehran cannot have nuclear weapons.

When asked if he would commit to military action against Iran if the negotiations fail, President Trump responded “Iran is going to be in great danger and I hate to say it, if the talks aren’t successful, I think it’s going to be a very bad day for Iran.”

Behnam Ben Taleblu, senior director of the Iran program at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD) joined LiveNOW from FOX’s Josh Breslow to discuss what to expect from the talks and the possible involvement of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
