Newsweek:

Over 27,000 people signed a petition calling for President Donald Trump’s administration to deport a woman who was identified as the daughter of an Iranian official by an Iranian news outlet.

The Change.org petition alleges that multiple family members of Iranian officials live in the U.S., including Fatemeh Ardeshir-Larijani. Ardeshir-Larijani is the daughter of Ali Larijani, according to a 2021 report by Iran International. Ali Larijani currently serves as secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.

Ardeshir-Larijani is listed on the institute's website as a doctor of medical oncology specializing in lung cancer at the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University. She has been practicing since 2023, according to the website.

"We are aware of media coverage regarding one of our physicians. Emory employees are hired in full compliance with applicable state and federal laws and other applicable requirements, including our commitment to advancing patient care, research, and teaching," Andrea Clement, associate director of public relations at the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University, told Newsweek.

Homeland Security Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin told Newsweek: "The Trump administration is reviewing all immigration benefits granted by the Biden administration to aliens from Countries of Concern including Iran. Ardeshir Larijani was granted a green card under the Biden administration, in 2021."
