Trump aides set off furor with out-of-touch shutdown remarks

Politico:

One of President Donald Trump’s top aides likened the shutdown to a “vacation.” Another called it a “glitch.” And on Thursday, Democratic leaders pounced after Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said he didn’t “really quite understand why” unpaid federal workers are going to food banks.

The point that every one seems to miss is these federal employees (mostly non essential not all), are behind only one pay check and if their life falls a part from one pay check being late, it speaks a volume of how bad a real economy is for an average person despite all the good news about the stock market performance.The real economic issues that manifested before Trump will continue after his departure.
