It is amazing how history literally repeats itself, and those who should have learned from it, repeat the same mistakes and expect a new outcome.

Take for example the late Shah of Iran’s policy towards the Iraqi Kurds, who were fighting the brutal tyranny of the murderous Baathists led by Saddam Hussein.

Muhammad Reza Shah Pahlavi provided the Iraqi Kurds haven in Iran, supplied them with what they needed to stand up to the Baathists and as soon as he cut a deal with Saddam over some border disputes, he suddenly withdrew all his support , letting Baathists massacre the Kurds.

This disastrous decision by the late Muhammad Raza Shah prolonged Saddam’s bloody rule, which included many wars that he started, the most devastating one against Iran.

News:

“President Donald Trump has told advisers he wants an early exit of U.S. troops from Syria, two senior administration officials said on Friday, a stance that may put him at odds with U.S. military officials who see the fight against Islamic State as nowhere near complete.”

Trump’s decision simply means to throw the Syrian Kurds, who have been backed by America,  to the Bashar Assad’s murderous Baathists and his Islamist fascist forces dispatched from Iran, something the late Shah of Iran did to Iraqi Kurds.

In short; Trump is going to repeat the same disastrous mistake that late Shah of Iran made.

Airtight sanctions, a la against the despicable South Africa apartheid, works. U.S. lawmakers get to it.
