The Shah and Mubarak don't fit in your "comparative" history.

Unlike the other 'tyrants" (as opposed to "dictators") displayed in the above photo composition , the alliance and relationship between Imperial Iran and Egypt's Secular Republic with the United States was not based on resolving deeply rooted antagonisms or conflict (since they were never at war with the United States as opposed to their hostility with let's say European Colonial Powers in particular British and French for Egypt during the Suez Canal Crisis, or the Iranian hostility for the British Empire which dates back to their presence already under the Qajar Rule, and enhanced during Iran's invasion by allied forces British and Russian forcing Reza Shah's humiliating abdication and ultimately culminated during the oil crisis during  the "appointed" ( and not "elected") PM Mossadegh term in office which led to his forced dismissal  in a "coup" that wasn't one) :

SOURCES OF FURY: Nader Naderpour on how the  IRI replaced the "Death Slogans" against Russia and Great Britain dating back to the 1906 Constitutional Revolution with those towards US and Israel

but rather one of mutual cooperation aimed at securing their mutual interests:

AXIS OF COOPERATION: Egypt, Jordan and Iran working with US in 1950s

If you knew a mimimum about world history and geo politics you woundn't make such a silly comparison which indulges in childish generalizations at best.

The ground is literally shifting beneath their feet and the tragedy is it could have been avoided. Unlike the kings of old who they now praise, the leaders of the Islamic Republic have not fought the good fight against Afrasiab: they have invited him in. —Ali Ansari
