I was there in 2006. What a majestic place. Of course there were more foriegn visitors there than Iranians.

If it were entirely up to the anti nationalist mullahs, they would have totally demilshed the site in 1979...I guess they are just letting lack of attention do the job now.

Too bad Kurosh wasn't named Abdullah bin Sa'ad bin Mohammed or something like that.  If he was, this place would have been covered in 24 karat gold.  

Its interesting that IRI warned syrian rebels (vahabi islamo facists) becuase they managed to damge or destroy part of roghieh , fatemeh or what ever shia shrine is over there  and not one word or one effort to preserve anything in Iran.
