An Authentic & rare Persian Royal Court Official Ceremonial Dress Uniform, from the era of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. Custom hand tailored to fit Ministers of the Court, such as the Prime Minister. Made from fine wool featuring highly detailed gold plated buttons.

Approximately 75 were made, they were only worn during official ceremonies; the most important being the Persian, Iranian, New Year, Norooz, "Salam" ceremony. Very high ranking Ministers of the court, were invited to the palace on the first day of Norooz, to see the Shah, and were all dressed in such uniforms.

This is a museum piece!! Unfortunately most of these "Salam" Uniforms" never survived the 1979 revolution. Most were burned or destroyed either out of fear, by their owners, or by fellow family members, after their original owners were executed. Sadly, very few exist.
