Thank you Dr. Naficy; you always bring new ideas in your meaningful and enlightening poems. Your poem on fasting reminds me of a piece by Mo'jer Shabesstari.
With warm regards,
Ezat

In reply to Ezat Mossalanejad I asked him:
Thanks dear Ezat. Which Shabastari? Mahmoud Shabastari the poet of "Golshan Raz" or Mohammad Mojtahed Shabastari the religious philosopher?
warmly, Majid
and Ezat Mossalanejad answered:
Dear Dr. Naficy,
Thank you for your kind message. None of those:
Mirza Ali Mojuz Shabestarti, was born in Shabestar in 1873 and died in Shahrud in 1934. At the age of 16, her traveled to Istanbul and returned to Iran 1905. He used to compose satirical poems in Azeri with the encouragement of Ali Akbar Saber. He was a staunch supporter of people’s rights, specifically women’s rights. He established the first girls’ school in Shabestar. He supported October Revolution of 1917. Parts of his poem, The Living Coffin (Jenazeh-ye zendeh), are as follows:
The month of fasting came
And brought troubles for me.
I wish the month of fasting would have never come to our region
O the month of fasting, O’ Ramadan, damn with you.
With warm regards and the best cordial wishes,
Ezat
