Gran Torino

Have "you won some victory for humanity," if you win a gold medal in  curling? There are tens of thousands of people worldwide who go through their lives trying to do just that. 

I used to think baseball was the most boring game until I came across curling. But I guess if the world needs comedians, why not baseballers or curlers. 

Words to live by...When you are punch drunk.

The funny thing is I always thought "humanity" did not want me to do anything for it, otherwise it would have enabled me to do something.

Let's just go easy on this Gran torino guy. He probably was trying to win a competition or something so he could buy a gift for his girlfriend with the prize money, so he went all out on this one.
