Dude, Iran has one of the progressive female population in the region.

And women dress like that in Iran?   We thought that the 'black chadoor' is the true Persian female 'outfit' although the late Reza Shah [father of the late Iranian king] banned it in the thirties...but it became popular among the true Iranian women in the late seventies.
