As our dear friend or site owner JJ is shuting down this site because of opening new restaurant, I reviewed blogs I posted over the years. 

Something very interesting caught my attention. The blog "how do Iranian men treat women in relationship" had been viewed over 4100 times. A blog that was clicked on more than any other blogs. 

At first glance, I thought people must like love and romance more than history or politic, but I realized later on the reason is deeper than just love and romance. 

The story of Romeo and Juliet took place in city of Verona, Italy about 1200 years ago. As Shakepear cited " 2 households in dignity, Montegue and Capulet were enemy of each other." Romeo belonged to the tibe of Montegue and Juliet beloned to the tribe of Capulet. It was a taboo to marry or fall in love between these 2  tribes. A ltos of hate or resentment.  however Romeo from Montegue falls in love with Juliet from Capulet tribe. The families didn't approve of this love relationsip and didn't want the marriage takes place. However, the tragedy ends with the death of Romeo and Juliet and all the sudden 2 tribes become friends. The tale of Romeo and Juliet transmitted through generations by word of mouth till late 1500 that Shakepear from England cited the story in a poetic manner. 

Fast forward in 1961, Robert Wise, an American director, made a movie "West Side Story". In the movie 2 street gangs Jets and Sharks are enemy of each other. Jet belong to white American from European descend.  Sharks members were Puerto Rican.  Tony,is a white man from  Jets gang who falls in love with Maria from Sharks gang. The relationship was taboo. Both sides did NOT approve of it. LIke Shakepear story,  the hostility ends when Tony get shot and killed by the other gang memeber Chino. The 2 gangs make a peace and become friends after Tony's death.

Time and again. a 30 year young man from very wealthy Iranian family fall in love with a black girl who is also coming from rich family.  Both familes were well established, as Shakespear noted 2 household in dignity,  but the families did NOT approve of this couple love relationship because of different ethnic background.  However, in my blog, it didn't end tragic as Romeo and Juliet or  (Tony and Maria), but it captures the essence of true romantic love without happy ending.
