The ten days to wait
Weigh like a sword suspended
Above the mountain.
Will it be circus?
Will it be justice? Will it
Bring light to the den
Of six and six thieves
That like dark Magi's of old
Shall be forgotten?
Will blood flow like song
From each ornate minaret
To quench one Eden?
Will there be hunger?
Will they be cold? Roaming with
Children and women?
Will land asunder
Into little Balkan shards
Pillaged and shaken?
Or will there be peace?
Enough money to buy bread
Cheese, rice, fig, chicken?
Just seven Toman
For some otherworldly note
Or silver even?
Will borders open
To trade in goods and people,
Knowledge, art, craftsmen?
Will they let us be?
In ten days, months or ten years
To just be? Risen?
