IranWire:

An Iranian court has sentenced a man to three years in prison for posting an Instagram story supporting Israel during the country’s 12-day war in June.

The Second Branch of the Dezful Islamic Revolutionary Court convicted Milad Darvishpour of “approving Israel through propaganda by publishing stories on Instagram” and sentenced him to three years in prison.

Three other residents of southern Masjed Soleyman were sentenced to six months each for “propaganda activities against the Islamic Republic by publishing stories on Instagram.”

The defendants were identified as Shahin Shirinzaban Azar, Mohammad Tajmirzadeh, and Hossein Heydari.

Sources said the four men were arrested in July by Revolutionary Guard intelligence forces and released on bail after their trial.

The sentences were issued by a lower court and are subject to appeal.

Iranian authorities intensified judicial actions against civil activists, critics, and ordinary citizens during the military confrontation with Israel.
