That Crack in the Wall from Jahanshah Javid on Vimeo.
There is a crack in the wall
A crack in my prison cell
Its deep and I can see in it
Cement and sand particles
That crumble when I touch it
These are small tidbits of my life
That fall into an abyss of impatience
This crack is not homogenous,
It follows the weakened parts of the structure
Of the wall that chokes my liberty
I think it is beautiful,
It moves freely telling me something
That we all have faults,
We all walk a fine line between insanity
And enlightened craziness
A spiritual border line that enables one
To become wholesome and happy
Or to screw ones destiny for good
It is like having a cup of coffee and rum
A dark brew, a spicy bold mix
That spikes life but can create turmoil
With a sip of this fire water
One appreciates life
And can boldly say: What the fuck!
Who cares… nobody cares!
I am free do as I please
Then I breathe and sit to look at it
I see that I could climb it to reach a summit
Just by placing my hands in it
Jamming them safely,
Creating a stepping stone path to liberty
To reach freedom
Building a space in time
Were ascension is crucial for internal appreciation
A calm in my storm
Where I can look how it moves
How it has grown spatially
Just to become a crack,
A scar that tells a story of weakness
That when it heals it becomes a lesson
Was my stress way too much to bare?
Was this an earthquake that shook my core?
Why did I fall apart and lost it all.
It is known that we all have scars
That can makes us proud or simply
Feel shame for that moment of pain
Due to them we are sent to prison for thigs we did
We are sent to prison for things we did not do
And what is worse is being sent to it
For the things we did not dare to do
A sickening lack of boldness
That limits our growth
And the enjoyment to live life
So place some nails in that crack
Place them at any distance you feel
Use them to inch you way up
To reach the heavens
Becoming joyfully mad
Use that crevice to see the light.
A free pass for to leave a jail
You might have created
Purposely built all because
Of shyness and embarrassment.
Have a sip of coffee and rum
And show off those wounds
That speak highly of your daring resilience
