And Iranian people's religion and culture belongs to the 7th Centuray Arabia, so?
Nothing medieval in Trump's speech at all
as my friend the Syrian Human Rights Activists recently shared on his FB page criticizing the liberal stand up comic Trevor Howard:
I totally share Syrian Human Rights activist Ammar Abdulhamid assessment here :
No. No. No. Not everything #Trump says or does is wrong. Criticism of authoritarian rule does not constitute intervention in other countries' internal affairs. Read the #UN Charter. By joining the UN a state pledges to respect the basic rights of its people and abide by democratic norms. Global peace and commitment to democratic governance are seen as interlinked. Trump might have gone way overboard in the manner he criticized #NorthKorea, but he was spot on in his criticism of #Venezuela, #Iran and #Syria. Socialist rule had bankrupted Venezuela. Iran is destabilizing the region and supporting genocide. And Assad is spearheading said genocide. What's not to criticize here? The problem with Trump in this regard is that his actions and policies, if one can speak of actual policies, do not match his rhetoric. In fact, he's effectively ceded Syria to #Russia and Iran, and he seems to be contemplating the nullification of the nuclear deal with the latter without first charting a clear policy on how to contain the inevitable backlash in terms of greater regional adventurism by its leaders. Such a move, the fact that the JCPOA was inked in Syrian blood and is being inadequately enforced notwithstanding, will have disastrous consequences for the peoples of the region including US allies. That's where the problem lies, not in the criticism of other countries and their problematic policies.
Now, hear it from this great American:
