It's set to be a historic day at the United Nations General Assembly, as more countries are expected to recognise the state of Palestine.

It comes a day after the UK, Canada and Australia formally acknowledged Palestinian statehood.

Israel has condemned the move, pledging a strong response at the end of the session.

Most UN members already recognise the state of Palestine; many have for decades.
