Amir Abbas Fakhravar the Sacrificial Lamb of "Shahrvand" Reza's new Political Stance ?
After Years of well recorded flirtations with the Neo Cons on Capital Hill and the Bush Administration and with a deemed Iranian "dissident" Amir Abbas Fakhravar dubbed the "Republican Prince" by the Diaspora Medias for his opposition to the Islamic Republic but nevertheless anti Monarchist views, Crown Prince Reza has decided to publicly distance himself from the controversial Iranian dissident.
Personally as an unapologetic monarchist who has followed the exiled opposition for many years now I have to say that Crown Prince Reza's lack of consistency over the past decade has never ceased to amaze me or should I say bitterly disappoint me. I know I am not alone amongst genuine monarchists to feel this way.
Take for instance the time when the Crown Prince went on a hunger strike for a controversial figure like Akbar Ganji whose links to the Islamic Reformist camp and west residing lobbies escaped no astute political observer added to the Crown Prince's own political promiscuity with the Neo Cons in Washington and such controversial characters like scholar Michael Ledeen of the American Enterprise Institute close to the Bush Administration and who at one point advocated Separatist opinions to the wrath of many monarchists and to which Crown Prince Reza hardly reacted.
Thus it is quite ironic to see the man who theoritically is the heir of the peacock throne dump an old Jomhurykhah ally ( of his choice not ours ) of many years.
In an official announcment by Crown Prince Reza's TV Station Ofogh, the latter station has hypocritically dismissed Amir Abbas Fakhravar by pointing a finger at the deemed guest's "radical" views as opposed to RP's massalan "meeyaneh rohi' ...

I suppose by "Meeyaneh rohi" of "Shahrvand" Reza Pahlavi we need to forget how he himself on many neo con TV's like Fox News pointed to Iran run by the IRI as being the "eye of the octopus" of terrorist activities at the height of 9/11 terrorist attacks which triggered much controversy and anger in Diaspora Medias at the Crown Prince's own ambiguous rhetoric and what was deemed as a poor choice of words prior to the Bush Administration's "War on Terror" that could have targeted Iran instead of the two other unhappy countries Iraq or Afghanistan which were finally the focus of the Neo Con Administration subsequently.
Likewise one wonders what is so "meeyano roh" about Crown Prince Reza's appraisal of another Middle Eastern dictator : Egypt's General Al Sissy as a "champion" of "human rights" and "democracy" ? :

This is the second time Shahrvand Reza's TV officially distances itself from it's would be allies and comments made by activists known for their staunch opposition to the islamic republic. The previous victim of "Shahrvand" Reza's U Turn was a monarchist activist Omid Dana. Although at opposite ends ideologically Both Dana and Fakhravar have experienced the Dungeons of the Islamic Republic only to be dismissed by Crown Prince Reza's So called "National Iranian Council" put together not long ago as a personal political platform for the son of the late Shah as if he needed a new mandate as opposed to the Oath he made 35 years ago to restore the former constitution of the land in accordance to his father's last will.
A Will which the current heir seems to have totally dismissed since only to embrace his father and Dynasty's most die hard enemies such as Akbar Ganji for whom the Crown Prince even went on a hunger strike.
Whether this dismissal is justified or not I have no clue. I never considered Amir Abbas Fakhravar as a likemind given that he belongs to a young generation of former student activists jailed for their opinions in the islamic republic. But unlike Omid Dana I never considered him as a Monarchist and hence never understood why Crown Prince ( sorry ... "Shahrvand") Reza Pahlavi sided with him in the first place.
But then I guess "Shahrvand" Reza "knows better" n'est ce pas ? ...
Hence the title of your first book : "Winds of Change" ... Or should it have been titled what you have so lamentably displayed all along with your self proclaimed shora : "Hezbeh Baad" ?

Regular shahrvand is all over the place. First he swears that he will fight for constitution and restoration of Monarchy. Then he switched gears and went on Apology tour and wrote couple of dopey books that nobody read. Later he changes his mind and he became greeny and he sounded far more republican (Aka jumhorykhah) than a future king. Then he changed his mind again and become shahrvand. Now he is floating somewhere between shahrvand and a monarch.
Honestly his heart is not into this. No shame in it but he should have abdicated in favor of his brother while he was alive (That may have given his brother more reason to live) and move on. When more people listen to dopey Trita Parsi (AKA Swedish meatball) than RP, then things are really in a bad shape.
Sharavand Reza is acting like Mark Twain's character in The Prince and The Pauper! He is trying to get to know his fellow Shahravands.
