Perhaps after almost 40 years, it is prudent to say that people deserve what they get.
This is especially fitting during the Arabic month of Moharam in which Iranians literally bleed for Arabs who killed each other in a far away desert over a dispute in who would be the true heir to Mohammad and his loot, the pedophile "prophet"!
It does not get more screwed up than this!

Respectfully, do all who have lost their lives in opposing this unreformable barbaric Islamist fascism, all those who have had to flee their beloved and country and all those who are at this very moment in captivity because of opposing fascism in Iran deserve such generalization and condemnation?
Fred jaan, respectfully, Iran has been in decline for the past multiple centuries. The short-lived window of the Pahlavis when there was an attempt to bring Iran out from the grips of 7th century - it didn't work.
"Deserve" is a relative word. Not everyone deserves what they get - but they get it anyway!
Isn’t the logical conclusion of this they deserve it, even in a relative context, which is not that uncommon among Iranians in and outside Iran, is to say goodbye to emancipation of Iran and Iranians?
From your past comments it seems to be to the contrary, but, are you saying you’ve really given up on the freedom for Iran and Iranians?
Na Fred, I hope that we don't say goodbye - or give up on the liberation of Iran and her people.
My fear is that whatever happens, it too will be short-lived as there is very little systemic change we can hope for Iran as long as our people's psyche and minds are embedded in superstition flavored with deep-rooted corruption, pretention, dishonesty and total disregard for others.
Iran and Iranians have all that is needed for success, hope springs eternal.
Once in freedom, social ills you talk about can quickly be fixed, Just look at how Iranians blossom in free societies.
I sure hope so. The question is anyone alive today will be around to see it?
To my mind, the essence of love is selflessness, just the pursuit of what is good for the beloved matters, all else become absolutely irrelevant.
