That iconic choice of rose as their avatar is incongruent with what actually they did and what happened to them. Many must have been duped into this party by shallow idealism of a third-world leftist party.  In the absence of working class and advanced labor/capital relationship in Iran at that time, the party turned into a puppet of the Soviets and was up for75 years of defeat and disasters ahead.

The statement below. the last paragraph of this post, says it all. You come across these species once in a while in the West. Some beat their chest for the Pals while making a footnote about the clerical government's "evil" doings. Who are they kidding?
