“The United States has called for the release of two Iranian-American citizens detained without charge in Tehran.
Family members say businessman Siamak Namazi was arrested in October while his father Baquer, 80, was detained last month. Both men are believed to be in Tehran's notorious Evin prison.
Friends describe Siamak Namazi as a businessman who was not involved in politics except for a time when he lobbied Washington to end a U.S. embargo on selling medicines to Iran.
Baquer Namazi is a retired UNICEF official.”
No doubt about it, Namazis, along with many Iranians, who unlike Namazis do not have any supporting voice in the free world, have to be emancipated ASAP.
However, lying about the documented activities of the Namazis on behalf of the Rafsanjani branch of the Islamist fascists –“reformers” and all- not only does not help, it becomes an impediment to their emancipation. The other Islamist fascist gang can easily debunk the lie and justify their illegal enslavement on that premise.
According to available documents, both Namazis have been heavily involved in the creation of NIAC lobby, an Islamist fascist lobby, and other ventures like Atieh-Bahar, a Rafsanjani front gateway for international businesses into Iran fascist dominated market and monopolies.
Sanction works, U.S. Senate, get to it.
ps. take a looksy here too.
A simple rule of thumb applies: I had no problem with the call for their release, until I heard it from the White House as well...Keep them, and even worse, try them under your stinky, primitive, Beduin, barbaric judiciary system...No sympathy. Sorry.
There has never been any kind of sanctions or embargo on selling medicines to Iran. His advocates are concocting this nonsense.
There never was an embargo on food and medicine. These two need to grease some people and they will be released before you know it.
Some mullah and his Sepah cronies will be looking to make a killling from 'facilitating the release' of these two fellows. Sepah itself has a criminal arm that excels in intimidation and outright robbery of wealthy 'westernized' Iranians.
If a naive businessman does not have powerful contacts within the 'hardliners' faction of the flea ridden arabs, that individual can count on some form of extortion at the hands of these beasts. For example, many wealthy Iranians have left their larger and more comfortable ground level homes in favor of the safer, but tinier, highrise suites. Criminals affiliated with or former members of Sepah are known to hold entire families hostage in their homes while the husband is sent to make a bank withdrawal for the ransom money, often in the millions of dollars. Many people close to me have had this tramatic experience.
My point is that someone, some reesho pashmi, is going to get very rich because of this long established pattern of 'hostage taking' and the awarding of some form of 'ransom' in order to secure their release. Which is also why I like to recite the following special prayer from time to time in the 'revolution's' honor:
Marg bar Jomhuriye Ofoonate Es-hali va un shotorparast hayash ke mihane maro forookhtan be yek mosht akhoonde bisavade pahberane o aghaboftadeh. Enghelabe yek mellate talab kar o namak nashnas chize digei nemishod.
