As President Trump's combative pose, picking on CNN's Jim Acosta was splashed across the mainstream newspapers the world over and the President's strident tones on a multitude of issues still reverberated, the silence from Trump's European allies about Wednesday's confrontational press conference has been deafening.

Many of Trump's allies will meet with him in Paris this weekend to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War -- known as the war to end all wars.

Trump will arrive at this commemoration of peace having just opened new hostilities back home, where he threatened his adversaries -- should they not conform to his desires -- that he will take them down.
